The Cabinet of Curiosity with Eye of Newt

Sat 23rd Oct '21
11:00am - 3:00pm

Sometimes adventure can be found right on your doorstep…

Or inside a cupboard, under a pile of ironing, hidden behind a plant pot, next to the rubber duck. The Cabinet of Curiosity is a little bit familiar, but contains a lot of surprises.
It’s easy to get stuck in a routine – jobs to be done, life gets so busy. The Cabinet has other ideas, it’s here to reward the curious and wants to play. As the story begins to unfold, secrets are revealed and audiences will help to solve the Cabinet’s puzzles.

Are you curious? Ready to explore? The adventure is waiting for you…

The Cabinet is a mobile interactive theatre piece, designed to reward the curious and encourage audiences to actively engage with the story. The narrative reflects familiar experiences of being housebound with young children and becomes a playful adventure tale. The Cabinet will transform during the show, beginning as mundane and domestic and slowly revealing itself as a magical vessel for imaginative play.

‘The Cabinet of Curiosity’ was commissioned by Spot On Lancashire and the Burnley Community Promoters Group.

Performances at 11am, 1pm and 3pm – Find the show near the Church Street entrance near the Fruit & Veg Stall and Florist Stall
