Blackburn Market’s traders are set to showcase their wares with a mini-market as part of the Town Hall Street Fair on Saturday, July 18.
From gift hampers and tropical flowers to seafood and bath bombs the pop-up market will feature a number of popular market stalls including Le Rain Florist, Celebrate Gifts, Dales, SAMS Seafood and Something Special.
Visitors will also be able to purchase a selection of fine cheese or sarsaparilla supplied by market traders Ruby’s Cheese and Spuds & Puds from a vintage camper van.
Sally Halliday, Owner of SAMS Seafood, said: “The mini-market is a fantastic way of bringing the street to life with traditional market stalls and also it’s a new way to positively promote Blackburn’s indoor market.”
The fair, which was launched following the success of the BID’s Countryside Comes to Town Festival, aims to help local makers sell their own products and increase town centre footfall.
Andrew Hartley of Octagon Cards, said: “It’s great to see so many market traders going the extra mile to help and show people what the market has to offer.”
As well as the market stalls, there will be a collection of curated art and craft stalls, street theatre and pavement art by Urban Canvas.
The Blackburn BID event takes place on Saturday, July 18 and is to be held on Town Hall Street from 10am – 5pm.
