A life size pretend milking cow fresh from the Hodder Valley Show is making the move to Blackburn BID’s midsummer festival along with lots of ‘udder’ fantastic attractions.
The large show cow promotes agriculture and acts as an educational tool for children wishing to practice the art of milking on a replica farm animal.
Matilda the Cow will be bringing a touch of country to Blackburn Market on Saturday, June 20 as part of the BID’s Countryside Comes to Town festival, she said: “For all that don’t know me, I joined the Hodder Valley Show last September and this is my first year travelling to different towns supporting traditional agriculture and horticulture!
“I’m very excited about taking part in the festival and it’s certainly going to be an ‘amoosing’ day for all.”
Matilda can also be hired for events including fund-raisers, parties, promotions, and even pantomimes.
Festivals goers are encouraged to take a selfie with Matilda and tweet it to @Hodder_showcow – Like any modern tech-savvy animal, Matilda is an avid Twitter user.
