Having 20 years’ trading experience, the owner Mandy Phillips of Girlie Bits on Blackburn Market, has decided to expand her business further by offering handmade, children’s dresses for every occasion. The costumes feature colourful tutu skirts that are designed with her customers in mind, Mandy can turn her hand to create any design you can imagine.
The new creations showcase ribbons, flowers and bows, the seamstress and can follow any theme suggested. Popular themed dresses are “buzzy bees” and Disney princesses however, bestsellers are her Wonder Woman and Harlequin masterpieces. The dresses do not come alone, unique accessories can be created to match, including headbands, socks and tiaras.
Mandy is not stopping at using tulle skirts in her work and can soon hopes to expand into the world of bridesmaid dresses and poodle skirts.
The creations are priced from £25 and her tutu skirts are available to buy from just £10.
So, for some princess sparkle this summer, sequins and glitter are compulsory at Girlie Bits.
