Blackburn Market trader, Whittaker’s Butchers has scooped the title of ‘Market Trader of the Year’ at the Mall Blackburn’s 13th Retailer Awards.
Over 150 people gathered at King George’s Hall for the annual awards ceremony.
Owner of Whittaker’s Butchers, Malcome Marsden, said: “We are very pleased to have been nominated by market shoppers for this award and we just want to thank everybody who voted for us.
“We have been supplying the good people of Lancashire with meat for many years and it’s a great to be rewarded with an award.”
Whittaker’s Butchers Ltd is a traditional family business which has been in the heart of Blackburn for almost a hundred years.
