A local community charity will be selling brand new high-street curtains from £20 at their pop-up stall this weekend (Friday 15th and Saturday 16th June 2018 – From 8:30am each day)
Sliding Doors is a local support project which provides social activities and volunteering opportunities for people with a disability, learning difficulty or those who feel lonely and isolated.
Herbert Parkinson, who design and manufacture the curtains from their Darwen factory, chose Sliding Doors as their ‘Charity of the Year’ and donated the stock to Sliding Doors to raise funds.
The curtains are seconds stock from a quality high-street store and will be greatly reduced in price, from £1 for cushion covers to between £20 – £40 for the curtains, depending on size and fabric.
Julie Astley, founder and manager of Sliding Doors, said:
We are very excited to be coming to Blackburn Market.
We chose to sell the stock on the market as most of the charities users are from the area and we wanted to give local people the chance to grab a real bargain. We would like to thank the council and especially the market team for giving us this opportunity.”
