Christine Beckingham, from Blackburn, from greeting card and gift stall “Glad Tidings” on Blackburn Market, was inspired by The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off on Channel 4, that she baked and decorated over 15 spectacular cakes and sold & raffled them off for the cause on the market.
Christine said, “I was overwhelmed by the response from customers and demand was so high that the cakes were sold out before we knew it. We have been raffling the final cake and I would like to thank all the Blackburn Market shoppers for their support for such a great cause.”
Money is still rolling in, but so far, Christine has raised over £200 for the charity!
